Jolene shirtdress: Tester roundup

list In Articles On

Today we will talk about the lovely versions of Jolene made by our pattern testers. Ten sewists went over the pattern Jolene with a fine-toothed comb for a whole month!

A pattern tester has a key role in the developement of a new pattern:

Pattern testers get the up coming pattern for free in exchange of a precise feedback on the construction, fit and instructions. I listen attentively to all of the feedback I receive and I work again if needed to improve the complete package.

Picture Above: Agathe made a midi length shirt-dress  with round collar, and 3/4 sleeves in blue tencel. I love the mix of Jolene with sneakers!

Amélie made a shirt with short kimonos sleeves and a round collar in a lightweight muslin. I love how Amélie modified the pattern to get an empire waist.

Anne made a shirt with straight hem peplum, round collar and short kimono sleeves in a printed viscose. Such a cute Jolene shirt!

Jessica went for a shirt too with a curved hem pepulm and 3/4 sleeves in a blue chambray. Love the details on gathers!

Mélanie choose the shirt-dress-knee length option with 3/4 sleeves and a point collar. It is made in lightweight denim. It is so beautifully made!

Michèle went for both the shirt and shirt-dress (knee-length) version and tried the short kimonos sleeves and 3/4 sleeves. Fabrics are a lightweight denim and a black broderie anglaise. Michèle made some modifications to the fit and I like how it looks on her!

Valérie has chosen the shirt option with a curved hem peplum, round collar and 3/4 sleeves. Fabrics are a cotton poplin and a viscose. Wow! I love these picts!

Fanny has chosen the shirt-dress option in a midi-length with a round collar and short kimonos sleeves. It is made in broderie anglaise. I like how romantic it looks with this fabric.

Kylie went for a shirt-dress with short kimonos sleeves in a cotton voile. I love how it perfectly fits her shoulders.

Last but not least, Cassandre went for a shirt-dress too, but with 3/4 sleeves. It is made in a beautiful Tencel. I love how she highlights her waist with the belt/dress combo!

How about you? Does it inspire you?
