my sewing plans

I wanted to share with you 3 of my silhouettes. I like sewing basics and wearable garments and will only sew something that, I know, will be comfortable to wear. The timeless piece that has been missing from my closet is the classic navy blazer. The one you'll wear with a white shirt, a grey Tshirt, a jean, a dress... basically everything! To fix this, I have to find the perfect fabric. I'm thinking of a beautiful navy wool crêpe. For the pattern I'm gonna use the blazer Joe with the small notched collar and will replace the welt pockets by patched pockets for a more casual style (see drawing above).

Right after I launched the pattern Jolene, I started working on a long sleeves version (tutorial here). I tend to wear it a lot these days so I thought it might be a good idea to sew a new one for this winter ! For the fabric, I'm thinking of a cosy wool flannel in a dark burgundy. This time I think I stop the buttoned placket to the waist and will cut the front skirt on fold.

Last but not least, this silhouette is inspired by the top Jude. It seems like many of you loved the pattern Jude. I love it too and it's been quite some time that I have this idea of the top Jude turned into a dress. I picture this dress cinched at the waist with a stlighly flaired bottom probably in a double cotton gauze for a bohemian style.

What about you? What are your sewing projects?
