How to alter the Jazz neckline to a ballerina neckline
We love the V neckline of the original Jazz pattern but what if you prefer round necklines ? It is surprisingly simple to draft a ballerina neckline for Jazz — you will be wearing your new garment before you know it!
For this pattern hacking you'll need to trace off the front and back bodice pattern piece A1 or A2 and B1 or B2 (with sleeves or sleevesless).
Trace off the front bodice pattern piece A1 ou A2.
Step 1:
- You’ll want to raise the neck at center front approx 6,7 cm from the original neckline.
Step 2:
- Then widen the neckline at the shoulder seam, approx 6 cm.
Step 3 and 4:
- Trace your new neckline using a french curve or go freehand if you prefer.
Step 1 and 2:
- Trace off the back bodice B1 or B2.
- Lower the neck at center back approx 1,5 cm from the original neckline. Then widen the neckline at the shoulder seam, approx 6 cm.
Step 3 and 4:
- Trace your new neckline using a french curve or go freehand if you prefer.
