Full seat adjustment

list In Alterations & Pattern hackings On

I was off to write a tutorial about full seat adjustments when I realized that the perfect tutorial already existed on the Curvy sewing collective blog so rather than writing yet another blog post on this topic, I'd rather send you back to this article which is very well done.

But first, we'll see how to tell if you need a butt adjustment. In the photo below, we can tell Lucie needs a full seat adjustment because:

  1. The overalls are pulling at the waist forming an angled waist line at the mid back (photo below).
  2. The crotch goes into her buttocks.
  3. There are drag lines pointing towards her buttocks.

If you have the same kind of issues, then you need a full butt adjustment!
